Instagram has finally rolled out its two-factor authentication feature. If you would like to enable it simply tap the Me icon, then click the gear icon in the top right corner, next look for Two-Factor Authentication. As soon as you enable it, Instagram will send a security code to your phone number. If you’ve never added a phone number, you can do so under Options - Edit Profile. After two-factor authentication is turned on, any time you log in from a new device a code is sent to your phone before you are able to log in.
Two-factor authentication is a simple way to secure your accounts and since having your social media accounts hacked is usually a trying endeavor, it’s a super easy way to help lock your accounts. This same update also presents a new sensitive content filter that is able to blur images for those that might find them offensive.
